Application Manager | Payment Terminals | Payment Solutions | POS Integration

For a temporary transition mandate, we are looking for an experienced Application Manager with in-depth experience in the area of payment terminals, payment solutions, and POS systems.

In this role, you will ensure the operation and support of a large payment terminal environment and act as a central interface between business, IT, internal departments, support organization, field service, and external partners. The focus is on operational security, knowledge transfer, support coordination, and the introduction of a new internal employee.

• Application management and support for an environment with several thousand payment terminals
• Ensuring stable operation in collaboration with internal teams and external partners
• Central interface between business and IT in the infrastructure environment
• Ensuring interface communication between payment terminal and POS system
• Handling of second-level support cases together with User Helpdesk, Field Service technicians, and partners
• Coordination of rollout planning and deployment in the payment terminal environment
• Support with configuration, monitoring, and software rollouts on terminals
• Preparation of test cases for quality assurance
• Securing existing know-how and knowledge transfer to the new internal employee
• Several years of experience in IT infrastructure environments
• Very good knowledge in the Payment Solutions environment
• In-depth knowledge of the Swiss ep2 standard
• Experience with POS interfaces and POS integration
• Experience with terminal management systems, especially configuration, monitoring, and firmware rollouts
• Knowledge in monitoring and log analysis
• Experience in supporting business-critical applications or services
• Ability to structure complex contexts and communicate them understandably
• High degree of independence, prioritization skills, and willingness to take responsibility
• Proactive, solution-oriented, and resilient personality
• Strong communication skills, team player, and confident in dealing with various stakeholders
• German mandatory
• English skills at B2 level
