Assignment Description
A multidisciplinary DevOps team is responsible for the optimal functioning and functional further development of an application that supports over a thousand Judiciary employees in their daily work. As an SRE / Application Manager, you will be part of this multidisciplinary DevOps team and will be responsible for planning and executing technical maintenance and releases, setting up monitoring, alerting, and observability, automating (repetitive) management tasks, and investigating and resolving technical disruptions.
You will also be the first point of contact for the Platform and Infrastructure teams of IVO Rechtspraak. Your team will work closely with 2 other DevOps teams within the Supervision & Data base. This requires good coordination and division of work with the SREs / Application Managers of those teams.
We are looking for a new colleague who is familiar with and has experience with the components in the landscape (see 'Background of assignment' below) and has knowledge of observability (Logs, Metrics, and Traces) and associated tooling such as Splunk, Grafana, and Prometheus. Furthermore, you bring a DevOps mindset and know how to involve colleagues in this. Do you enjoy using your creativity and leadership to take steps towards a DevOps working method, in addition to performing regular maintenance tasks and resolving issues, and thus contributing to the digitalization of the Judiciary?
Then this is the assignment for you!
Background of Assignment
The Supervision & Data Base is responsible for, among other things, the further development and (technical) management of the Supervision applications. These applications enable over 1000 judges, legal, and administrative employees to supervise curators, administrators, and mentors (CBM), bankruptcy trustees, and Wsnp administrators. The landscape consists of a digital work environment for courts, several (web) portals for executors, and an S2S connection for software suppliers of administrator software. The management and further development of these applications are handled by 3 value teams.
These teams are set up in a DevOps manner with the following roles: design, development, testing, technical, and functional management.
Microsoft Dynamics 365 (CRM) forms the foundation of the application. We also use .NET Core (back-end), C#, and Angular. For testing, we use Playwright, Cypress, Robot Framework, and Ready API. These applications are hosted on Windows Server / IIS (external portals). We also use CI/CD pipelines in Azure DevOps.
