Architect / Civil Engineer – Energy and Infrastructure Projects

Project overview

For demanding projects in the energy and infrastructure sector, an experienced architect or civil engineer is sought for planning and technical support. The focus is on the planning, approval, tendering, awarding, and supervision of the construction execution of complex construction projects.

The project environment includes new construction projects, construction in existing buildings, battery storage projects, and dismantling projects. We are looking for a structured and independent personality who can provide technical support across various project phases, coordinate external specialist planners, and act as an interface between planning, approval, and the construction site.

Responsibilities

Creation, processing, and coordination of planning documents

Participation in scheduling and cost estimation according to DIN 276

Support in the creation of building applications and coordination with authorities

Processing and technical support of new construction projects and measures in existing buildings

Technical support for energy and infrastructure projects, especially battery storage projects and dismantling projects

Creation and support in the preparation of tender and award documents

Participation in construction supervision, construction execution, and carrying out inspections

Coordination and alignment of external specialist planners and project participants

Interface management between planning, approval processes, and the construction site

Support in technical and organizational project execution across various project phases

Requirements

Completed degree in Architecture or Civil Engineering

At least five years of relevant professional experience

Experience in the planning and implementation of complex construction projects

Knowledge of construction execution and relevant planning and approval processes

Basic knowledge in the field of energy and industrial projects, dismantling, and construction in existing buildings

Experience with battery storage projects and BIM-based projects is an advantage

Proficient in MS Office

Knowledge of MS Project and AVA software is desirable

Knowledge of construction law and the application of the Federal Immission Control Act (BImSchG) is an advantage

Building submission authorization is desirable

Good English skills

Independent, proactive, analytical, and structured way of working

Strong communication and coordination skills, as well as a confident demeanor towards project participants

Willingness to travel and to attend on-site appointments in the Essen area
