Architecture Owner CI Platforms 100% - GitLab | Backstage | Developer Experience

For a client in the financial industry in Bern, we are looking for an experienced personality for the architectural further development and optimization of central Continuous Integration platforms.

Together with the Delivery Team Lead and the Product Owner, you will provide technical leadership for the Delivery Team. You will design a high-performance Developer Experience and further develop platforms, self-service offerings, and automations for the internal development teams.

Role: Architecture Owner CI Platforms

• Architectural responsibility for the further development, optimization, and renewal of GitLab, Artifactory, SonarQube, and the internal Developer Portal based on Backstage
• Further development of the Developer Portal according to the requirements of the development teams
• Design of solutions that create transparency and enable independent, efficient use of the platforms
• Implementation of demanding automations with the team, for example for rollouts, upgrades, housekeeping, self-healing, and integrations
• Advising the Product Owner on architecture, technology, and security within the product roadmap
• Creation and maintenance of architecture documentation and guidelines, as well as ensuring their implementation
• Support in the description and acceptance of architecture artifacts
• Tertiary education or further training in computer science at a University of Applied Sciences or University level
• Sound technological knowledge and architectural experience in the field of CI platforms
• Good knowledge in software development with Go, React, TypeScript, and Java
• Good knowledge in Linux, Shells, and the creation of Docker images
• Sound knowledge in Observability with Grafana and Prometheus
• Sound knowledge in Helm, Ansible, Git, and AWS
• Enjoyment of technical collaboration with development teams and in improving the Developer Experience
• Very good German language skills at at least C1 level, as well as very good English language skills
