Area Manager Civil Engineering

Responsibilities

• Management of several civil engineering projects within the responsible area
• Leadership and coordination of construction and project managers
• Ensuring deadlines, costs, and quality
• Management of subcontractors and external project partners
• Monitoring of budgets and project progress
• Support with calculation and work preparation
• Contact person for clients, customers, and authorities
• Conducting project and construction site reviews
• Support with additional claims, escalations, and critical project situations
• Ensuring occupational safety and quality standards

Requirements

• Degree in civil engineering or comparable technical qualification
• Several years of experience in civil engineering or infrastructure project business
• Experience in managing larger or parallel construction projects
• Leadership experience as an area manager, senior site manager, or senior project manager
• Sound knowledge of VOB (German Construction Contract Procedures) and construction contract law
• Experience in cost and project controlling
• Knowledge of additional claims management
• Strong economic understanding
• Strong communication and assertiveness skills
• Very good German language skills
