ASV-BW Administrator / ASV-BW Specialist

Project overview

For our client, we are urgently seeking two experienced ASV-BW specialists (ASV-BW = Official School Administration Baden-Württemberg) for the technical support and assistance of ASV-BW environments in several schools in the Ludwigsburg district.

The focus is on administration, installation, updates, troubleshooting, and restoring the functionality of ASV-BW. The activity is fully remote.

Responsibilities

Must-have Skills

• Administration and technical support of existing ASV-BW installations
• Execution and support of ASV-BW updates, including function tests
• Analysis and resolution of disruptions in the ASV-BW environment
• Restoration of functionality in case of technical problems
• Installation, repair, and migration of ASV-BW instances
• Documentation of error patterns, measures, and solutions
• Remote guidance of hands-and-eyes support at school locations as needed
• Collaboration with adjacent specialist teams in the areas of database, server, and network
• Very good practical experience with ASV-BW
• Experience in installation and administration of ASV-BW
• Experience with ASV-BW updates and release changes
• Very good troubleshooting skills in the ASV-BW environment
• Experience with ASV-BW in client/server environments
• Understanding of technical ASV-BW services and their dependencies
• Basic knowledge of the Windows Server environment
• Structured and independent error analysis
• Experience in restoring critical ASV-BW environments
• Ability to collaborate with adjacent technical teams

Nice to have

Special Notes

The workload is demand-dependent and can fluctuate significantly. In some weeks, only a small amount of support may be needed, while during major disruptions, a high workload of up to five days a week may be required at short notice.

Therefore, we are looking for candidates with high flexibility and short-term availability who are confident in the ASV-BW environment and can independently handle complex disruption situations.

• Experience with ASV-BW in the school environment of Baden-Württemberg
• Experience with Terminal Server or RDS environments
• Knowledge of the KISS environment
• Java knowledge in connection with ASV-BW
• VMware or virtualization experience
• Experience in incident and change management
• Experience in collaboration with schools or school authorities
• Knowledge of adjacent school applications such as UNTIS
