Project overview

We are looking for an experienced Controller for our Berlin branch. In this role, you will be responsible for comprehensive cost control and financial management of projects.

Your tasks include aligning project budgets with Cost Control Management and Project Management, preparing and verifying cost statements for materials, personnel, supplier invoices, and travel expenses. You will work closely with the planning department to capture forecasted cost risks and maintain a register of potential and actual costs. Monitoring cost movements in relation to progress and productivity factors is also part of your responsibilities, as is coordinating with external partners on project cost issues.

You will regularly communicate cost status, forecasts, and risks to departments and support risk mitigation measures. Presenting financial data in management and project reviews, as well as performing post-calculations for change orders, are further key tasks.

For this position, you should have a completed degree in Finance or Engineering with financial training. You have sound experience in cost estimation, forecasting, and Project Accounting & Controlling. Knowledge of risk identification, monitoring, and reporting in projects is required. You are proficient in Excel and SAP and ideally have experience with other data management systems. Know-how in scheduling for the integration of cost and time management, as well as experience in collaboration between project controlling and finance departments, complete your profile.

Fluent English skills are required; German skills are advantageous.

The position is to be filled on-site in Berlin.
