Automotive Software Analysis Engineer

Project overview

We are looking for an experienced Automotive Software Analysis Engineer to support our team in Strategy & Transformation. In this role, you will play a crucial part in error analysis and quality assurance in vehicle software and contribute significantly to ensuring the functional integrity of systems.

Your tasks include conducting initial technical analyses of software and system errors in the vehicle environment, analyzing logs, traces, and diagnostic data to identify error causes, and performing traceability analyses to track complex error patterns. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to enable efficient error resolution and support software integration, testing, and validation activities. Furthermore, you will analyze vehicle software, ECUs, communication interfaces, and backend/frontend integrations.

You will create and maintain knowledge bases and technical documentation and support stakeholders with technical questions.

We expect several years of experience in the automotive industry, very good knowledge of vehicle architectures, ECU communication, and software integrations, as well as experience with OTA update processes. Knowledge of Ethernet, DoIP, UDS, Flashing, and HTTP communication is required. You should be proficient in log and error analysis as well as root cause analysis and be comfortable using tools like Jira, Confluence, Codebeamer, and Wireshark. Strong analytical skills and a proactive approach are essential. German (spoken and written) is mandatory; good English skills are an advantage.

The position is hybrid in Germany and limited to 7-9 months. The start date is as soon as possible.
