Automotive Software Update & Integration Engineer

Project overview

We are looking for an Automotive Software Update & Integration Engineer to support software update and integration processes for connected vehicle functions. In this role, you will significantly contribute to ensuring the quality and efficiency of software integration in the vehicle environment.

Your tasks include supporting software update and integration activities, analyzing and optimizing update processes for connected vehicle functions, and integrating and validating software components at the ECU and system level. You will perform error analyses, support troubleshooting, and clarify complex integration issues. Furthermore, you will collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure smooth integration processes and support testing and release activities for vehicle software.

Following qualifications are required: Experience with software update systems in the automotive environment, good knowledge of vehicle architectures, ECU systems, and communication protocols, as well as practical experience with OTA updates, diagnostic systems, and flashing processes. Knowledge of Ethernet, DoIP, UDS, MQTT, SOME/IP, and HTTP is necessary.

Practical experience with analysis and testing tools, a high willingness to learn, and strong communication skills are advantageous.

The position is limited to 7-9 months and is offered in a hybrid work model. The work location is in Germany.
