Senior Avaloq Engineer Java Backend/Kafka/-Parametrization/ 100%/ZH

Project: For an exciting banking project in the area of investments & retirement planning, we are looking for an experienced Senior Avaloq Engineer with sound Java knowledge. The focus is on the parametrization and extension of portfolio management functions as well as the implementation of master data extensions within the Avaloq core banking platform. Additionally, you will develop Java backend components and Kafka-based interfaces, modernize existing functions in the area of investment recommendations, and support ongoing application operations in an agile DevOps team.

Task:

• Parametrization and extension of functions of the Avaloq core banking platform in the area of investments & retirement planning
• Implementation of portfolio management functions and extensions in the master data area
• Conception and development of interfaces for integration with other software systems, especially in the environment of Kafka and Event Streaming
• Further development and maintenance of Java-based backend components
• Participation in the modernization and revision of existing functions, interfaces, and service calls
• Support of ongoing application operations as well as analysis and resolution of technical disruptions
• Collaboration in an agile team according to Scrum and SAFe

• At least 5 years of practical Avaloq parametrization and several years of Java backend experience
• Experience with agile methods (Scrum/SAFe) and willingness to take on DevOps operational tasks
• Analytical, structured way of working as well as strong team and communication skills
• Knowledge of Kafka/Event Streaming, interface integration, as well as Avaloq Portfolio Management, master data, and banking processes in the area of investments & retirement planning.
