Requirements

This is an interim contract with a possible opportunity for extension or conversion to full-time employment.

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in architecture; registered architect preferred.
• 10–15 years of experience in architecture, retail design or store concept development.
• Experience developing concepts for premium or multi-brand retail environments, with a portfolio featuring flagship projects and brand evolution.
• Experience creating and maintaining retail design standards and brand guidelines.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Vectorworks, Revit, SketchUp and Adobe Creative Suite; experience directing or reviewing 3D visualization is preferred.
• Strong strategic thinking, visual storytelling, presentation and cross-functional collaboration skills.

A multi-brand retailer is seeking an experienced store design leader to shape the creative vision and evolution of its retail environments. This interim role will translate brand strategy into distinctive, scalable store concepts across multiple brands and customer touchpoints.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead retail concept development for flagship stores, temporary locations, pop-ups and other strategic initiatives.
• Develop and maintain design standards covering materials, fixtures, lighting, spatial planning, graphics and customer experience.
• Partner with real estate, procurement, construction, visual merchandising, marketing and operations teams to deliver concepts within budget while preserving design integrity.
• Lead and mentor a designer and 3D visualizer, providing direction on layouts, presentations, renderings and concept packages.
• Present design concepts to senior stakeholders and manage external architects, consultants and creative agencies as needed.
• Research retail, architecture and lifestyle trends, bringing innovation to materials, sustainability and experiential design.
