Responsibilities

• Responsible for the technical system architecture of the Developer Platform according to architectural specifications, including architectural documentation in German.
• Technically lead the platform team: Prioritize the backlog and ensure the delivery reliability of features and enablers per PI.
• Develop technical specifications for technologies and architectural patterns.
• Develop AWS-specific solution proposals and decision-making bases and represent them to business units, teams, and management.
• Coordinate with enterprise and solution architects; enforce quality standards, conduct audits and design reviews.
• Review solution alternatives and track cloud innovations.

• Language (Compulsory) -> fluent German – project language, assessment, and all deliverables exclusively in German, without translation.
• FinDevSecOps operating model, where the same team develops, operates, secures, and controls costs.
• Internal Developer Platform approaches.
• Java/Spring Boot and Angular as well as Kafka and Keycloak as shared services.
• Federal administration or comparably regulated environment.
• Remote Policy -> 60% on-site at the client / 40% home office, depending on the project phase; remote work only allowed within Switzerland.

Description

For our end client from the Swiss public sector, we are looking for a Cloud System Architect with technical team leadership for a Public Cloud Developer Platform as follows:

Starting Situation & Mandate:

The end client operates its business applications in a hybrid cloud architecture on AWS, fully automated and with advanced Zero Trust. The core is its own Cloud Developer Platform: The Core Platform covers networking, observability, IAM, and security; the Delivery Platform provides blueprints and shared services like Kafka and Keycloak.

The platform team is part of an Agile Release Train (SAFe) and works in FinDevSecOps mode. We are looking for someone to be responsible for the technical system architecture and to take on the technical lead within the team.
