AWS Data Engineer

Project overview

We are looking for an experienced AWS Data Engineer for a demanding 12-month project at a location in Southern England. This role offers the opportunity to work with modern cloud technologies and large amounts of data.

As an AWS Data Engineer, you will be responsible for the design, development, and optimization of Data Lakehouse solutions. You will work with leading AWS services such as S3, Glue, EMR, Athena, Redshift, and Lake Formation, developing ETL/ELT pipelines and performing data modeling.

Requirements

This position requires your physical presence on-site five days a week. The project is structured as a freelancer engagement and offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic environment with innovative technologies. You will be part of a team focused on delivering high-quality data solutions.

• At least 5 years of professional experience in Data Engineering
• Extensive practical experience with AWS Data Lakehouse architectures
• Deep knowledge of SQL, Python, and PySpark
• Experience with dbt and modern data processing pipelines
• Understanding of data management, security, and data quality
