Hands-on AWS DevOps/Cloud Engineer needed for a technology-driven organization in Veenendaal to set up and manage applications end-to-end within AWS. The role focuses on the entire technical chain, from public accessibility and networking to runtime, security, CI/CD, and repository.

For a technology-driven organization in Veenendaal, we are looking for a hands-on AWS DevOps / Cloud Engineer who can set up and manage applications end-to-end within AWS. The emphasis is on the complete technical chain: from public accessibility and networking to runtime, security, CI/CD, and repository. You work pragmatically, actively support developers, and ensure that solutions are as transferable and independently manageable as possible.

Practical information
- Setting up, configuring, and managing AWS infrastructure for applications.
- Configuring DNS, networking, routing, load balancing, and public access.
- Working with Kubernetes/EKS and containerized workloads.
- Setting up and improving CI/CD and deployment flows from Git.
- Automating with Terraform/OpenTofu and other IaC tooling.
- Managing IAM, secrets, monitoring, and logging.
- Supporting databases and messaging services.
- Troubleshooting across multiple layers of the infrastructure.
- Facilitating developers with automation, self-service, documentation, and knowledge transfer.
- Contributing ideas about infrastructure for new applications, including AI agents.
- Strong hands-on experience with AWS.
- Experience with Kubernetes/EKS or comparable container platforms.
- Experience with Terraform/OpenTofu, CI/CD, and GitHub/Git.
- Good knowledge of networking, DNS, load balancing, and IAM/security.
- Experience with monitoring, logging, and cloud operations.
- Ability to technically set up and expose an application from A to Z.
- Pragmatic can-do mentality and strong collaboration with developers.
- Clear, professional, and advisory communication.
- Experience with MySQL, PostgreSQL, and/or RabbitMQ is a plus.
- Experience with PHP/Laravel and/or fintech/banking is a plus.
- Location: Veenendaal / hybrid
- Office days: Monday and Tuesday
- Commitment: 16-24 hours per week
- Duration: 6 months
- Option for extension
- Possibility to increase hours with an expanded scope
