Job description
Experienced Azure Cloud Architect needed to design, build, and operate Azure infrastructure, including landing zones, tenants, and hybrid cloud environments. The role involves automation, CI/CD, security, and monitoring.
Project overview
We are looking for an experienced Azure Cloud Architect to strengthen our team at the Kaiserslautern location. In this role, you will actively shape the cloud infrastructure of an innovative company and contribute to its continuous development.
Your responsibilities include the setup and operation of Azure Landing Zones as well as the management of Azure Tenants, Subscriptions, and Management Groups. You will design and operate Azure Compute, Storage, Database, and Network services and build hybrid cloud environments. You will automate infrastructure and operational processes using Terraform, Bicep, and Azure DevOps. You will develop CI/CD pipelines, implement cloud security standards according to Microsoft Security Benchmarks, CIS, and NIST, and realize identity and access management concepts.
Furthermore, you will support audits, compliance checks, and risk analyses as well as the setup of monitoring and logging solutions.
You have a completed degree in computer science or a comparable qualification and possess several years of practical experience in Microsoft Azure and cloud architectures. Your expertise in Azure infrastructure, hybrid cloud environments with Active Directory and Microsoft Entra ID is proven. You are proficient in automation with Terraform and Bicep, have practical knowledge in IT security and zero-trust architectures, as well as experience with PowerShell and ideally Python. Relevant Microsoft certifications (AZ-104, AZ-305, AZ-500) and ITIL Foundation are advantageous.
Fluent German and English skills are required.
The position is hybrid and offers you flexibility in your work.
