Backend Developer with Public Sector Experience

For our client in the public sector, we are currently looking for a Backend Developer with experience in the public sector.

• Development and enhancement of modern backend applications based on Java
• Participation in microservice architectures and distributed system landscapes
• Design, implementation, and testing of new software components with a focus on stability, security, and scalability
• Development and optimization of REST interfaces and product-oriented architectures
• Implementation of unit and integration tests as well as conducting code reviews
• Enhancement of processes and services with a focus on automation and efficiency improvement
• Participation in the setup and optimization of CI/CD pipelines
• Working in cloud-native environments with container technologies and Kubernetes/OpenShift
• Collaboration in agile teams according to Scrum and SAFe
• Use of modern development, monitoring, and deployment tools in the daily project environment
• Active contribution to technical decisions as well as introduction of new technologies and tools
• Very good knowledge in object-oriented Java development (Java 17+/21)
• Experience with modern Java frameworks such as Quarkus, Spring Boot, JEE, or Eclipse MicroProfile
• Experience with microservice architectures and distributed systems
• Knowledge of relational databases such as Oracle and PostgreSQL
• Experience with SQL and database modeling
• Knowledge of CI/CD automation and Infrastructure as Code
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and OpenShift
• Knowledge of JPA/Hibernate, Liquibase, JMS, and JAX-RS
• Experience with Swagger/OpenAPI and AsyncAPI
• Knowledge of Maven, Git/Bitbucket, and SonarQube
• Experience with JUnit, Mockito, and quality assurance processes
• Confident use of Jira and Confluence
• Experience with agile methodologies according to Scrum and SAFe
• Desirable: Knowledge of Angular and TypeScript

Development, implementation, and enhancement of robust and scalable backend solutions within a modern cloud-native architecture.

The role includes both the technical implementation of new software components and the continuous optimization of existing processes and services with a focus on quality, automation, and efficiency.
