Backend Developer - Agile CI/CD Engineer

Project overview

For one of our clients, we are currently looking for a freelance Backend Developer - Agile CI/CD Engineer.

Responsibilities

• Conception, implementation, and maintenance of CI/CD pipelines for build, test, and deployment processes for various technology stacks (especially .NET, JEE, Angular)
• Further development and administration of the existing CI/CD infrastructure, consisting of Jenkins instances, RHEL VMs, Windows Server VMs, and OpenShift, among others
• Support in the automated provision of integration test environments for business applications
• Execution of code reviews as part of adjustments to the CI/CD solution
• Documentation of the CI/CD solution
• Creation of automated tests for the CI/CD solution to ensure high quality and reliability
• Monitoring and optimization of pipelines to ensure high performance and scalability

• Certification in Kubernetes (e.g., CKAD, Red Hat Certified OpenShift Application Developer, or comparable)
• Certification in Linux Administration (e.g., LPIC, RHCSA, or comparable)
• Kubernetes (e.g., OpenShift)
• Configuration and administration of Jenkins installations
• Configuration as Code
• Conception, implementation, and automated testing of CI/CD pipelines (including for the development of microservices)
• Administrative Linux knowledge
• Git, Git branch models, Git workflows, and working with pull requests
• Implementation of GitOps with standard market tools (e.g., ArgoCD)
• Object-oriented programming and scripting in at least one of the following languages:
• Java
• Groovy
• Python
• PowerShell
• Bash
• Configuration management (e.g., Ansible)
• Ability to explain and document complex technical concepts understandably
• Build and test tools for at least two of the following technologies:
• .NET
• JEE
• Angular
• Quarkus
• OCI images
• Documentation as Code
• Experience with at least two of the following tools:
• Bitbucket
• SonarQube
• Artifactory
• Oracle Exadata
• Practical experience with agile development methodologies in software development (e.g., Scrum, Kanban, SAFe)
• Location: remote and Berlin
