Civil Engineer Energy Project

Project overview

We are looking for an experienced civil engineer to support complex energy and infrastructure projects on a freelance basis. The location is in the Essen region with regular on-site appointments.

Responsibilities

You will be responsible for the creation and processing of planning documents as well as the coordination of planning processes. Your activities include participation in scheduling and cost estimation according to DIN 276, support with building applications and communication with authorities. You will technically support new construction projects and existing measures, particularly in the area of battery storage and dismantling projects.

Further tasks include the preparation of tender documents, construction supervision and acceptance, as well as interface management between planning, approval, and construction site. You will coordinate external specialist planners and support technical and organizational project execution across all project phases.

Requirements

Completed degree in architecture or civil engineering with at least five years of professional experience in complex construction projects. Knowledge of construction execution, planning and approval processes, as well as basic knowledge of energy and industrial projects are required. Experience with battery storage projects, BIM methods, MS Project, and AVA software is advantageous. Knowledge of construction law and BImSchG as well as building submission authorization are desirable. Good English skills and willingness to travel are prerequisites.

Scope of employment: approx. 160 hours per month, project start immediately.
