BI Developer / Technical BI Consultant (Qlik & BOARD)

Project overview

As a BI Developer / Technical BI Consultant (Qlik & BOARD), you will actively shape the further development of a modern Business Intelligence landscape. In this role, you will combine technical expertise with a good understanding of business requirements, supporting the analysis, evaluation, and future-proofing of existing BI, reporting, and planning applications. You will work particularly with Qlik and the Corporate Performance Management tool BOARD, developing powerful solutions for reporting, analysis, and planning.

You will accompany both the optimization of existing applications and their replacement or migration. You will translate requirements from business departments into clear technical concepts, coordinate solution approaches with relevant stakeholders, and ensure structured, sustainable implementation.

We are looking for someone with approximately three to five years of professional experience, who works independently, quickly grasps interrelationships, and enjoys transforming data into understandable information and reliable decision-making bases.

You will analyze and evaluate existing BI, reporting, and planning applications.

You will support the replacement, migration, and modernization of existing applications.

You will develop BI solutions, dashboards, and reports with Qlik and BOARD.

You will translate business requirements into technical concepts and implementable solutions.

You will work on solutions for reporting, data analysis, and corporate planning.

You will further develop data models, data integrations, and interfaces.

You will ensure high quality, traceability, and user-friendliness of the developed solutions.

You will coordinate with business departments and technical contacts and accompany requirements from intake to implementation.

Requirements

For this position, you bring sound practical experience in Business Intelligence development and a strong interest in reporting, analysis, and planning solutions. Very good knowledge of the Corporate Performance Management tool BOARD and practical experience with Qlik, ideally Qlik Sense or QlikView, are particularly important. You should be able to systematically capture complex business requirements, recognize relevant interrelationships, and develop viable technical solutions from them.

Experience in replacing, migrating, or modernizing existing applications is a great advantage, as you will contribute to the further development of a future-proof system landscape. In addition to your technical skills, you will impress with an independent, structured, and solution-oriented approach. You communicate clearly, work reliably, and can convey technical matters understandably to different target groups. Ideally, you have completed a degree or training in Computer Science, Business Informatics, Data & Analytics, or a comparable qualification.

However, your practical experience, technical curiosity, and commitment to creating sustainable BI solutions are most crucial.

You have very good knowledge of the CPM tool BOARD.

You have experience with Qlik, ideally Qlik Sense or QlikView.

You have sound practical experience in Business Intelligence and BI development.

You have experience in replacing, migrating, or modernizing existing applications.

You are familiar with the conception and implementation of reporting, analysis, and planning solutions.

You have a good understanding of data models, data integration, and interfaces.

You have ideally completed a degree or training in Computer Science, Business Informatics, Data & Analytics, or a comparable field.

You work independently, structured, carefully, and solution-oriented.

You can capture business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.

You communicate confidently with technical and business stakeholders.
