Freelance Accountant (m/f/d) - HGB, Annual Financial Statements & General Ledger Accounting

For this project, we are looking for an experienced accountant (m/f/d) with sound knowledge in finance and accounting, who is particularly proficient in preparing financial statements according to HGB.

• Several years of professional experience in accounting, financial accounting, or general accounting
• Sound knowledge of accounting according to HGB
• Extensive experience in the independent preparation and support of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
• Confident handling of general ledger accounting (General Ledger) as well as reconciliation and clarification of balance sheet and P&L accounts
• Experience in the formation and booking of provisions and accruals/deferrals
• Knowledge in the areas of accounts receivable, accounts payable, and fixed asset accounting
• Experience with intercompany reconciliations and clarification of balance sheet issues
• Support in the preparation of the annual financial statements and provision of relevant documents for auditors and tax advisors
• Good knowledge of VAT and in handling tax-relevant accounting topics
• Confident use of Microsoft Excel as well as experience with common ERP and accounting systems, such as SAP FI, DATEV, Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central, or Navision
• Structured, independent, and solution-oriented way of working
• Strong hands-on mentality and the ability to quickly familiarize yourself with existing accounting processes and systems
• Experience in interim or freelance projects is an advantage
