These responsibilities you will take on

Our client, a distribution network operator, is introducing a web-based application for switching status management as part of the modernization of its GIS landscape (ArcGIS Enterprise, Utility Network). Network documentation and network operations will manage the normal state of low voltage and lighting in a common application in the future, with automatic coloring of energy circuits and short-circuit testing. The implementation will be carried out in two development stages with fixed milestones, together with internal teams and an external software service provider.

The technical focus is on operational safety: an incorrectly displayed switching status can lead to incorrect switching operations.

• Gathering and clarifying requirements with network documentation, network operations, and the network control center in workshops and interviews
• Translating requirements into Epics, Features, and User Stories with clear acceptance criteria
• Deriving test cases and acceptance criteria in collaboration with testing
• Maintaining and prioritizing the backlog along the agreed milestones
• Technical contact person for the external service provider, clarifying open questions during implementation
• Technical acceptance of increments, preparation and execution of demos
• Managing dependencies on data models, data migration, and interfaces
• Documenting requirements and decisions in Confluence
• Supporting the beta phase, rollout, and go-live
• Several years of experience in requirements engineering or as a Business Analyst
• Proficient in creating Epics, Features, User Stories, and acceptance criteria
• Experience with backlog prioritization, test cases, and technical acceptance
• Experience in managing external software service providers and various stakeholders
• Knowledge in the GIS environment, especially ArcGIS Enterprise / Utility Network
• Experience in network operations, network documentation, or switching status management
• Understanding of data models, data migration, and interfaces
• Experience with Confluence
