Business Analyst – Data Warehouse / Analytics

For a demanding Data Warehouse and Analytics project in the Swiss financial environment, we are looking for an experienced Business Analyst with a strong understanding of data and solid SQL skills.

The role acts as the interface between the business departments and the technical Data Warehouse teams. The focus is on analyzing business requirements, defining data objects and KPIs, and independently analyzing complex data sets.

Responsibilities

Analysis, structuring, and specification of business requirements in the DWH/Analytics environment

Translation of business requirements into functional data and reporting concepts

Definition and documentation of KPIs, data objects, and data models

Independent execution of data analyses and validations using SQL

Analysis of complex data relationships and business dependencies

Coordination of business requirements with business stakeholders and development teams

Support in the functional quality assurance of new and existing data solutions

Ensuring understandable and traceable requirements documentation

Requirements

-

Several years of experience as a Business Analyst in the Data Warehouse, BI, or Analytics environment

Solid knowledge of requirements engineering and data modeling

Very good SQL skills and experience in independent data analysis

Experience in defining KPIs and the functional specification of data objects

Strong analytical thinking and a high degree of abstraction

Confident stakeholder management and communication tailored to the audience

Ability to translate complex business requirements into technical data requirements in an understandable way

Experience in Banking or Financial Services is an advantage

Contract model: Initially Freelance / Contracting

Remuneration: Attractive daily rate, depending on qualifications and experience
