Business Analyst with SQL/PL/SQL Experience

Description

For our client, we are looking for a Business Analyst who can gather business requirements and implement them independently using SQL/PL/SQL. The focus is on collaboration with the business departments as well as the implementation of reporting and data requirements in an Oracle environment.

SQL/PL/SQL developers with good business analysis skills are also welcome. The technical tasks include SQL queries as well as stored procedures of manageable complexity.

• Gather, question, and refine business requirements together with stakeholders
• Translate requirements into implementable data and reporting solutions
• Develop and adapt SQL queries and PL/SQL stored procedures
• Create and further develop reports and dashboards on an internal XML-based platform
• Analyze, select, and prepare data in an Oracle Data Warehouse
• Accompany implementation from requirements gathering to business acceptance
• Perform ad-hoc evaluations, error analyses, and bug fixes
• Version control changes using Git

Requirements

Highly specialized expertise in complex ETL development or data modeling is not required. The combination of business understanding and practical SQL implementation is crucial.

• Practical experience in business analysis and independent technical implementation with SQL/PL/SQL
• Alternatively: Experience as an SQL/PL/SQL developer with good BA skills
• Good knowledge of Oracle SQL as well as experience with PL/SQL and stored procedures
• Ability to understand business needs, critically question them, and translate them into concrete solutions
• Experience with reporting, data preparation, and data warehouse structures
• Knowledge of XML and Git
• Strong communication skills as well as a structured and independent way of working
