Project overview

For a company, we are looking for an experienced freelance Business Coach for the individual support of a technically skilled employee at the Cologne location.

The employee has good technical performance and is to be retained in the company long-term. However, there are development areas in interpersonal interaction and collaboration with colleagues, which partially negatively impact team dynamics. The goal of the coaching is to specifically further develop the employee's self-reflection, communication skills, and social competence, thereby enabling constructive, long-term successful collaboration.

Responsibilities

Analysis of individual communication and behavioral patterns. Promotion of self-awareness and the ability to change perspective. Development of concrete strategies for constructive interaction with colleagues, superiors, criticism, and conflicts. Training in situation-appropriate communication using practical case studies and role-playing. Support for transfer into professional daily life. Review of progress based on jointly defined development goals.

Requirements

Several years of experience as a Business Coach, Executive Coach, or HR Developer. Demonstrable expertise in the areas of social skills, communication, conflict management, and teamwork. Experience with technically strong employees whose interpersonal behavior complicates collaboration. Direct, clear, and at the same time appreciative coaching style. Ability to build trust even in the face of resistance and to initiate concrete behavioral changes. Experience with different personality and communication styles; knowledge in dealing with neurodivergent individuals is an advantage.

High practical orientation and consistent focus on understandable results.
