Business [systems] analyst

Project overview

We are looking for an experienced Business Analyst for long-term projects in the field of transport and logistics for our TITANS freelancers team.

Project requirements

• documentation and analysis of business requirements during the development and improvement of innovative solutions within transport and logistics
• interpretation of internal and external business challenges and requirements into understandable functional and technical specifications and finding solutions to achieve them
• participation in feasibility studies, risk assessments and cost analyses
• close cooperation with stakeholders and development teams
• leading workshops, meetings and presentations
• participation in system testing and checking their compliance with requirements
• providing support and training
• possible long-term cooperation in an agile team (SCRUM)
• cooperation is possible in an almost fully REMOTE mode (meeting in BA once a month, in AT once a month), or, if the freelancer is interested, in a combined ON-SITE (Bratislava) / REMOTE mode
• min. 5 years of experience in the activity of a business and/or IT analyst/consultant (ideally in the field of transport and/or finance)
• experience with:
• interpreting business requirements into understandable functional and technical specifications
• complex system (back-end) integrations
• managing system analysis and identifying dependencies with constant focus on business requirements
• project-tracking and documentation tools (JIRA, Confluence, Miro, ...)
• notation (UML, BPMN)
• modeling tools (Enterprise Architect, Draw.io, ...)
• complex system integrations
• agile development methodology (SCRUM)
• creating feasibility studies, risk assessments and cost-benefit analyses
• exceptional communication skills
• written and verbal (also in English) and the ability to communicate at multiple levels within the company
• strong facilitation skills (ability to lead meetings, to reach consensus and plan with participants)
• problem-solving orientation
• excellent time management
• attention to detail and orientation towards continuous process improvement
• active (spoken and written) knowledge of English
• experience with the following is a great advantage:
• financial data integrations (ideally from SAP FI/CO/SD)
• projects in the domain of logistics and transport
• IT analytical activity (or at least technical background)
• object-oriented programming in JAVA (or at least the ability to understand code)
• microservice architecture (Docker, Kubernetes)
• OpenShift services
• messaging (KafkaMQ, RabbitMQ, ...)
• strong organizational, negotiation and analytical skills
• open to new ideas and visions
• ability to react flexibly and adapt to change
• proactive approach
