An established company in the healthcare sector is looking for an experienced Senior C++ Developer to further develop and modernize performance- and availability-critical applications in healthcare.

• Development and expansion of sophisticated C++ components with a focus on performance, stability, and scalability
• Conception and implementation of secure multithreading and parallelization solutions for responsive clinical applications
• Analysis of existing applications and identification of performance and stability bottlenecks
• Refactoring and optimization of a grown Qt-based codebase and implementation of measurable performance improvements
• Modernization of legacy components based on MFC, ATL, Win32, and Delphi
• Integration and further development of components in an environment with CMake, Conan, MSVC, Qt, and embedded CEF
• Close collaboration with architecture, quality assurance, and product management to deliver maintainable solutions
• Use of AI-supported development tools for code analysis, refactoring, and modernization; expansion of shared agents, skills, and prompt templates

Requirements

• Several years of senior experience in professional C++ development, ideally for high-performance desktop applications
• Very good knowledge of modern C++ (C++14/17/20), multithreading, concurrency, and secure concurrent programming
• Practical experience in debugging, profiling, and performance optimization of complex codebases
• Solid experience with Qt, CMake, Conan, and MSVC; experience in integrating CEF
• Completed university degree in computer science or a comparable technical, mathematical, or scientific discipline
• Structured, analytical way of working, high quality orientation, and independent ownership
• Fluent English; interest in software solutions in healthcare

Nice to have

• Experience with the modernization of MFC, ATL, Win32, or Delphi applications
• Practical experience with AI agents such as Claude Code and agentic development workflows
• Knowledge of AI pipelines, harnesses, and context engineering
• Very good German language skills
