C++ Software Developer for Aerospace Engineering

Project overview

We are looking for an experienced C++ Software Developer for the development of innovative software solutions in the field of aerospace engineering. The location is in Bavaria, and the work is performed on-site.

Responsibilities

You will develop and design software solutions for simulation and test support systems based on C++. You will work on the further development of framework architectures in the areas of middleware and real-time applications. You will apply modern technologies, methods, and development standards. You will support virtual engineering projects in mixed environments of simulations and real hardware. Furthermore, you will contribute to development, integration, and testing activities of various aerospace programs by providing test and simulation tools.

You will work in an agile and interdisciplinary team in the area of test frameworks and backend services.

Requirements

You have completed a degree in computer science or a comparable field and have 3-4 years of professional experience in software development with a focus on C++. You have very good knowledge of modern C++ (C++17 or newer) as well as sound knowledge in software design, design patterns, software architectures, system programming, and cross-platform development. Knowledge of network technologies, field buses, and distributed systems is required. Experience with CAN, ARINC, or AFDX is an advantage. Knowledge of Linux, CMake, Conan Package Manager, and CI/CD pipelines is desirable.

Experience with middleware and real-time applications is an advantage. You have fluent English skills (at least B2); German skills are an advantage.
