Job Introduction

Capefront is looking for experienced cable fitters, joint installers, and cable technicians to build a European talent pool for various electrical cable projects.

The missions may concern terrestrial, offshore, or submarine installations, depending on project needs and candidate qualifications. Interventions can take place in electrical substations, trenches, galleries, tunnels, joint bays, at land transition sites, or in marine environments.

The voltages involved ideally range from 60 kV to 380 kV.

  • Perform joints and terminations on MV and HV cables.
  • Strictly apply the manufacturer's assembly instructions and procedures.
  • Prepare the various components of the jointing and termination kits.
  • Perform stripping, screen preparation, insulation application, and connection operations.
  • Install prefabricated joints, EPDM systems, silicone systems, dry terminations, composite terminations, or oil-impregnated terminations.
  • Work on AC cables and, if experience permits, on DC cables.
  • Perform work in electrical substations, trenches, galleries, tunnels, or joint bays.
  • Participate in operations on terrestrial cables and, depending on the projects, on offshore or submarine cables.
  • Perform visual, dimensional, and technical checks as required by procedures.
  • Participate in testing, inspections, and acceptance operations.
  • Complete tracking documents, intervention reports, and traceability files.
  • Immediately report any anomaly, non-conformity, or technical difficulty.

  • Ensuring traceability of operations performed.
  • Completing inspection sheets and intervention reports.
  • Participating in the handling of any non-conformities.
  • Preserving equipment, cables, and accessories throughout the intervention.
