Project overview
The CAD and Design Engineering Expert will have extensive knowledge of Fusion in-vessel components, specialising in the design, development, and optimisation of complex engineering solutions for fusion energy systems.
They will be proficient in advanced 3D CAD modelling, detailed design, manufacturing drawings, and engineering analysis, with a strong understanding of in-vessel structures, remote handling requirements, high-vacuum environments, and nuclear engineering standards.
They will be experienced in supporting the full product life cycle from concept design through to manufacture, assembly, testing, and installation, while ensuring compliance with quality, safety, and performance requirements.
They will be a strong communicator with a proven ability to collaborate across multidisciplinary engineering teams and deliver innovative solutions to challenging technical problems.
