The assignments for Information & Automation (I&A) are constantly influenced by external changes and internal needs and expectations. I&A, together with provincial users and partners, makes choices to maintain the delicate balance between available resources and meeting needs, renewal, and innovation.

The Province of South Holland has a Microsoft environment and a virtualized desktop environment. The BI team is part of one of the Information & Automation assignments. The team is responsible for data management, data access, functional and technical management, and the development of BI applications. The team also provides advice on business operations data, creates information products, and performs data analyses. It supports the primary tasks of the province: creating and executing policy.

The Province of South Holland needs an external candidate for the Cloud AI Engineer OMNI assignment.

• You are available for an average of 36 hours per week for the execution of the assignment and are flexibly deployable.
• You must be able to start on January 1, 2027, or on another date to be determined in mutual consultation.
• A completed university education in Artificial Intelligence, Computer Science, or a comparable field relevant to AI application development.
• At least four years of experience as a software engineer or developer, in an independent and proactive role.
• At least three years of experience with Python for backend, data, and/or AI applications.
• Experience with developing LLM or generative AI applications, for example with LangChain, RAG, or agents. You have delivered at least one product.
• At least three years of experience with full-stack web development with a modern JavaScript or TypeScript framework, such as Vue/Nuxt or React, and a Python backend, such as FastAPI.
• At least three years of experience with developing and managing applications in Microsoft Azure, including Azure DevOps, Infrastructure as Code with Bicep or Terraform, and Docker.
• At least three years of experience with Git, CI/CD, and setting up OTAP/DevOps.
• Experience within a Dutch (semi-)governmental organization.
• At least a completed university education (WO) in Artificial Intelligence, Computer Science, or a comparable field, demonstrably relevant for the development of AI applications
• At least four (4) years of demonstrable work experience as a software engineer/developer, where the candidate has had an independent, proactive role
• At least three (3) years of demonstrable work experience with Python for the development of backend, data, and/or AI applications
• Demonstrable work experience with developing LLM/generative AI applications (including LangChain, RAG, agents), evidenced by at least one delivered product
• At least three (3) years of demonstrable work experience with full-stack web development with a modern JavaScript/TypeScript framework (e.g., Vue/Nuxt or React) AND a Python backend (e.g., FastAPI)
• At least three (3) years of demonstrable work experience with developing and managing applications in the Microsoft Azure cloud (including Azure DevOps, Infrastructure as Code with Bicep/Terraform, Docker)
• At least three (3) years of demonstrable work experience with Git, CI/CD, and setting up OTAP/DevOps
• Demonstrable work experience within a Dutch (semi-)governmental organization. Application requirements (form)

• Mandatory training in case of a PZH email account and access to PZH systems: Successfully completing the training designated by the Client is an integral part of this agreement. This obligation relates to the requirements set by the Client for secure access to and use of its systems, data, and information. This applies to hired employees who have a PZH email account and access to PZH systems. The hired employee must successfully complete the training within one (1) month after starting the work.
