Cloud Engineer / DevOps

Project overview

For one of our end clients in Landau, we are currently looking for a freelance DevOps Cloud Engineer.

Responsibilities

• Building new infrastructure in Google/Azure using Terraform
• Refactoring and expanding existing Google/Azure infrastructure
• Building, refactoring, and expanding Kubernetes infrastructures on-prem and in Google/Azure

Requirements

• At least 4 years of experience with one of the 3 hyperscalers (GCP, AWS, Azure)
• At least 5 years of experience with Kubernetes
• As well as relevant (several years of experience with):
• GitOps (Argo CD, Flux); >5 years = very good knowledge
• Docker; >5 years = very good knowledge
• Linux; >5 years = very good knowledge
• Git; >5 years = very good knowledge
• CI/CD (Gitlab CI, Github Actions, Jenkins, Azure Pipelines); 3-5 years = good knowledge
• Observability (Prometheus, Grafana, OpenTelemetry, Loki); 3-5 years = good knowledge
• Network & ServiceMesh (Cilium, Calico, Istio); 3-5 years = good knowledge
• Policy as Code (Kyverno, OPA); 3-5 years = good knowledge
• Secrets & PKI (Hashicorp Vault, External Secrets, SOPS, cert-manager); 3-5 years = good knowledge
• Kubernetes Manifest Management; 3-5 years = good knowledge
