Cloud Engineer SaaS/PaaS (Linux & Windows)

Project overview

For a long-term project environment in the enterprise cloud sector, we are looking for an experienced Cloud Engineer (m/f/d) with a focus on the development, enhancement, and operation of SaaS and PaaS services on Linux and Windows.

Responsibilities

• Conception, planning, and development of cloud-based services on Linux and Windows platforms in the SaaS and PaaS environment
• Further development of existing services and platform components, considering stability, scalability, and maintainability
• Coordination of technical dependencies and interfaces with other teams within the cloud platform
• Support for the Product Owner in gathering, analyzing, and concretizing functional and technical requirements
• Creation, maintenance, and further development of service, architecture, and operational documentation
• Development, execution, and documentation of test cases
• Support for operations in maintenance, upkeep, and further development of productive services
• Analysis and resolution of issues in development, test, and production environments
• Execution of deployments and support for release and update processes

Requirements

Desirable Knowledge

Technical Environment

• Experience in the administration, configuration, and maintenance of Linux systems, especially Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL)
• Experience in the operation and administration of Windows Server environments
• Knowledge in the development and integration of REST-based APIs
• Experience with Swagger or OpenAPI
• Basic knowledge of system and infrastructure monitoring with Checkmk
• Basic knowledge of backup and recovery solutions, ideally with Veeam
• Experience in agile development projects and cross-team collaboration
• Independent, structured, and solution-oriented way of working
• High degree of initiative and the ability to drive topics independently
• Project experience in the cloud environment
• Container technologies such as Docker or Podman
