CMM Inspector/Operator
Stroud
6 month contract
19.50/hour (Umbrella Co rate)
Key Responsibilities
Key Skills and Experience
- Manage measurement and inspection requirements across operations, including moulding validations, in-process inspections and non-conformance investigations.
- Set and load a CMM, arrange suitable fixturing and carry out Measurement System Analysis (MSA).
- Make sure the CMM is running as intended, monitoring it to ensure it runs smoothly.
- Analyse measurement data, investigate issues and identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
- Maintain accurate records and work closely with Engineering, Production, Quality and Verification Services to support compliance and continuous improvement.
- Excellent attention to detail, and the ability to follow strict SOP's and tasks is essential.
- Previous experience in a machine loading/operating or inspection role within a manufacturing or engineering environment would be beneficial.
- Proven experience with CMMs
- loading them before other engineers operate them
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, specifications and measurement data.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving and attention-to-detail skills, with a proactive approach to continuous improvement.
- Good communication and organisational skills, with the ability to work collaboratively and manage multiple priorities.
