For a long-term power plant project in Berlin, we are looking for an experienced freelance electrical commissioning engineer (m/f/d).

The focus is on the planning, preparation, and subsequent commissioning of the overarching electrical engineering for various generation units at the power plant site.

• Several years of experience in electrical commissioning in plant or power plant construction
• Experience with electrical systems from 400 V to 110 kV, transformers, and high and medium voltage
• Switching authorization for 110 kV desirable
• Experience in the preparation and planning of commissioning activities
• Experience with FAT, SAT, and commissioning tests
• Confident handling of electrical documentation and commissioning documents
• Experience in the brownfield environment or with interfaces to operational plant sections

Your Responsibilities

• Start: January 2027
• Location: Berlin / Remote
• Duration: 12 months, option to extend
• Utilization: 50–100 %

• Technical coordination of electrical engineering activities within the client's commissioning team
• Technical coordination of requirements for electrical commissioning and their documentation according to the client's standard
• Support of electrical commissioning procedures (preparation/review).
• Advice on ensuring compliance with Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) requirements (Pre-Start-up Safety Reviews
• PSSR, ...).
• Clarification and technical coordination of interfaces with other plant sections or operational plant sections (simultaneous plant operation) that are not part of the scope of delivery.
• Technical monitoring and updating of the commissioning schedule.
• Technical coordination and enforcement of commissioning plans
• Advice on ensuring compliance with functional requirements, specifications, applicable regulations, and approval and legal requirements.
• Advice and support for discipline-specific and overarching commissioning tests and their corresponding documentation.
• Coordination of electrical acceptance tests (function tests, performance tests, ..) and trial operation.
• Advice on ensuring and technically monitoring the "red-line documentation" regarding commissioning documentation.
• Advice on ensuring compliance with site regulations and the Permit to Work (PTW) procedure.
• Advice on discipline-specific completion certificates for assembly, commissioning, and proof (MEK, IBS, acceptance).
• Technically responsible for conducting PSSRs (Pre-Start-up Safety Reviews).
• Organization of the management of discipline-specific outstanding points (List of Open Points
• LOP) in connection with commissioning and the associated tests and their release.
• Advice on ensuring consistent execution and documentation of maintenance measures during commissioning according to supplier requirements.
• Technical coordination of shutdown work.
• Creation of discipline-specific daily, weekly, and monthly reports
• Creation of damage reports.
• Technical monitoring and updating of system and function descriptions as well as operating instructions
• Identification and technical assessment of discipline-specific risks and their communication within the scope of regular risk workshops
