A specialist power infrastructure business is looking to appoint an experienced Commissioning Manager to support the delivery of high-voltage substation projects in the Netherlands.This is a senior site and project delivery position with responsibility for planning, coordinating and overseeing commissioning activities through to energisation and final handover.The role will involve working closely with engineering, construction, testing teams and external stakeholders to make sure projects are technically ready, safely commissioned and delivered in line with programme requirements.Responsibilities
Candidate Profile
ProjectThe position is linked to a major substation upgrade in South Holland and offers the opportunity to take a leading role across commissioning and energisation activities on critical grid infrastructure.If you have experience delivering HV commissioning projects in the Netherlands and would like to hear more, please get in touch.
- Take ownership of the commissioning phase across HV substation projects
- Prepare and manage commissioning schedules, test sequences and energisation activities
- Coordinate specialist testing personnel and commissioning engineers
- Work closely with project, engineering and construction teams to resolve technical issues
- Manage interfaces with the client and network operator
- Review test documentation and ensure all commissioning records are complete
- Track outstanding technical issues and support project close-out
- Ensure commissioning activities are carried out in line with safety and quality requirements
- Support project teams during earlier engineering phases to identify commissioning constraints before site execution
- Strong background in MV / HV substation commissioning
- Experience managing or coordinating commissioning teams
- Good knowledge of testing, energisation and handover processes
- Comfortable working across both technical and project interfaces
- Experience on Dutch grid infrastructure projects would be highly advantageous
- BEI HS knowledge or certification would be beneficial
- Dutch and English language capability preferred
- Electrical Engineering or equivalent technical background
