Compulsory Education Officer

Project overview

As a compulsory education officer, you will fulfill a substantive, coaching, and connecting role within the team.

Profile of the suited interim professional:

• Monitoring and improving the quality of work processes and services
• Implementing, monitoring, and safeguarding working methods from the School Attendance project and the Law to Reduce School Truancy
• Facilitating, advising, and coaching colleagues as a substantive point of contact
• Independently handling compulsory education and truancy files
• Ensuring efficient planning and organization of activities
• Advising on substantive developments and contributing to management reports
• Monitoring the progress of improvement and development projects
• Maintaining contact with students, parents, educational institutions, and chain partners
• Demonstrable work experience of at least 5 years, gained in the last 7 years, as a compulsory education officer within education, compulsory education, or school attendance
• Demonstrable knowledge of the Compulsory Education Act, the Law to Reduce School Truancy, and the Qualification Obligation
• Demonstrable work experience, gained in the last 5 years, with implementing, recording, and safeguarding working methods for school attendance and reducing school truancy
• Desirable: at least 3 years of work experience as a compulsory education officer for a municipality or government institution
• Preferably knowledge of and experience with the Methodical Approach to School Truancy
• Desirable: work experience with coaching and substantive guidance of professionals
• A completed education at least at HBO bachelor level
