Job description
Configuration Manager needed for an automotive supplier to define and implement a configuration management strategy across various repositories. The role involves ensuring adherence to the strategy, baseline integrity, and reporting on configuration item status.
Responsibilities
- Definition of a configuration management strategy that considers all existing repositories
- Ensuring that the structure of the various repositories is set up and maintained
- Ensuring that the rules of the defined configuration management strategy are followed by all project team members, through configuration management audits and team training
- Performing baseline reviews and ensuring the integrity of the baselines
- Ensuring that the status of each configuration item is known
- Regular reporting on the status of each configuration item, either tool-supported or manual

- Profound experience in configuration management (system and software)
- Knowledge of Automotive SPICE, familiarity with the ASpice process landscape, and the requirements for system and software
- Experience with IBM Rational tools such as DOORS, Rhapsody; currently Polarion is being used
- Basic programming skills are a plus, ideally in software design
- Experience with SVN, GIT, Jira
- Communicative team player with intercultural project experience
- Fluent English skills, both written and spoken
