Job description
Seeking an experienced Construction Cost Estimator/Quantity Surveyor with a background in overhead line construction to ensure accurate billing and manage change orders and claims for a project in Philippsburg.
Project overview
- Ensuring correct determination and billing of services rendered by the general contractors for overhead line construction in cooperation with general contractors, area managers, and construction coordination.
- Review and compilation of proper processing of change orders for the general contractors (Thinkproject CCM Tool)
- Review and support with claims from claims management with area managers
- Ensuring revision security for later reviews of change orders and claims, if necessary
- We are looking for a person who has already worked on construction sites and is able to review quantity surveys – especially with regard to the general contractor's invoicing.
- A person is sought to provide services who will be available three days a week in 2026. From 2027, an increase to four days a week is planned, with an expansion to full-time employment (1 FTE) from mid-2027.
Responsibilities
- Responsibility for the correct billing of quantities and services rendered
- Supplementing billing with change orders and claims for cost tracking as well as technical review of these
- Close coordination with the creators of relevant evidence to ensure complete invoicing
- Coordination with service providers and internal as well as external interfaces for change orders and claims
- Review and, if necessary, support the creation of evidence for formal and substantive correctness as well as initiation of corrections
- Independent creation of evidence if required, as well as checking all invoice-relevant documents for completeness, correctness, and contract conformity
- Creation of a weekly internal report on activities, developments, problems, and potential improvements
Requirements
- Experience as a cost estimator/quantity surveyor/invoice auditor/site manager
- Qualification as an engineer or technician (civil engineering or electrical engineering)
- Experience in overhead line construction
- Experience with RIB iTWO & in handling GAEB files
- good self-organization, independent work
- good communication and teamwork
- Willingness to travel (Location: Philippsburg)
