Brief Description

An experienced Construction Manager for Electrical Engineering / E/MSR is sought for a reinvestment project at a technical facility in the energy infrastructure sector. The focus is on the coordination and supervision of electrical engineering trades, from construction execution through quality, schedule, and cost control to supporting commissioning and acceptance from the client's perspective. The environment includes control technology, switchgear, transformers, UPS systems, installations and cabling, as well as interfaces with mechanical, process, and piping trades.

Project Specifics

Essentially, the existing control system is to be replaced by a new control system.

Responsibilities

• Coordination of electrical engineering and I&C-related trades, particularly control technology, switchgear, transformers, UPS, construction power, installations, cabling, and lightning protection
• Supervision of construction execution regarding planning, performance specifications, permits, technical regulations, and execution quality
• Schedule tracking and early identification and escalation of schedule deviations
• Cost control, evaluation of change orders, measurement review, and control of executed deliveries and services
• Conducting regular site and safety inspections, as well as maintaining construction logs, reports, and discipline-specific documentation
• Coordination of interfaces with operations, detailed planning, suppliers, experts, and other construction trades
• Preparation and support of cold and hot commissioning, including review of test programs, results, ATEX/CE documents, and interfaces
• Support of acceptances, creation and tracking of punch lists, as well as review of final and as-built documentation.

Job facts: Direct client project

• Completed degree or qualification as a technician or master craftsman in Electrical Engineering, I&C, or comparable
• Several years of experience in construction management or construction supervision in industrial plant construction
• Demonstrable knowledge or experience in ATEX/explosion protection is an advantage
• Experience in coordinating and supervising executing companies and subcontractors
• Experience in construction management as a client representative
• Confident handling of quality, schedule, and defect management.
