Project overview

We are currently looking for an experienced freelance Construction Manager for Electrical Engineering (m/f/d) for a construction project in Hilden to provide technical site supervision and quality assurance of electrical installations.

The focus is on the installation of busbar systems and the supervision of other work in the area of electrical power distribution and cabling. We are looking for an experienced specialist who is particularly familiar with the professional installation of busbar systems.

Position: Construction Manager Electrical Engineering (m/f/d) – Focus on Busbar Systems and Electrical Power Distribution

In addition to the installation of busbar systems, work will be carried out in parallel on low-voltage main distribution boards, medium-voltage main distribution boards, uninterruptible power supply main distribution boards, and various cabling works.

The activity focuses on the technical quality assurance of the electrical execution. The work is expected to continue until mid-December 2026. A subsequent follow-up project starting in January 2027 at the same location is already being planned.

Task

• Technical site supervision and quality assurance of electrical installation work with a special focus on busbar systems.
• Supervision of the professional assembly of busbar systems, taking into account technical planning documents, manufacturer specifications, and applicable standards.
• Quality control during the installation of low-voltage main distribution boards, medium-voltage main distribution boards, and other electrical main distribution boards.
• Verification of the professional execution of cabling work and electrical connections.
• Conducting regular site inspections to check the quality of execution.
• Recording, documenting, and tracking technical defects, including monitoring their rectification.
• Technical coordination with the responsible electrical project manager and support of relevant technical acceptances.

Framework Data

• Completed degree in Electrical Engineering, further training as a Master Electrician or state-certified technician, or a comparable qualification.
• Several years of professional experience in construction management, site supervision, or quality assurance of electrical installations.
• Mandatory: Sound practical experience with the installation and technical supervision of busbar systems.
• Sound knowledge in the field of electrical power distribution systems, especially main distribution boards and cabling, as well as relevant electrical standards.
• Start: Preferably at short notice, by 01.11.2026 at the latest
• Duration: Expected until mid-December 2026 + option for extension
• Location: Hilden, North Rhine-Westphalia
• Workload: Preferably 5 days a week, at least 3 days/week
