Mission Context

Within a team dedicated to the operational maintenance and support of API Management platforms, you will primarily work on the WSO2 solution in production and gradually participate in taking on the Kong solution.

Your objective is to guarantee the availability, performance, security, and reliability of the API Management platforms, with a strong focus on RUN, support, and operations.

Essential

Environment: API Management, WSO2, Kong, Kubernetes, Ansible, GitLab, Argo CD, ELK, Dynatrace, Grafana.

• Provide Level 2/3 support for WSO2 and Kong API Management platforms.
• Monitor the availability and performance of API services.
• Analyze production incidents and coordinate their resolution.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance operations.
• Optimize platform performance and scalability.
• Administer and configure WSO2 and Kong environments.
• Manage deployments, version upgrades, and security patches.
• Ensure backup and restoration of configurations.
• Maintain technical documentation and operational procedures.
• Participate in technical on-call duties.
• Participate in daily meetings and Squad rituals.
• Process requests and incidents from the support backlog.
• Contribute to the RUN and support roadmap with the Product Owner.
• Propose improvements to enhance operational reliability.
• Participate in training, presentations, and demonstrations for user teams.
• Kong API Gateway: a plus, training possible.
• Kubernetes: administration, deployment, and monitoring.
• Ansible: automation and configuration management.
• GitLab and Argo CD: source code management and continuous deployment.
• ELK, Dynatrace, and Grafana: monitoring, log analysis, and observability.
• REST APIs and web protocols.
• Bash or Python scripting.
• PostgreSQL or MySQL databases.
• API Management Engineer with at least 4 years of experience in APIM platform administration.
• Operational expertise on WSO2 is essential; experience with Kong is appreciated.
• Experience in a banking or financial environment is an advantage.
• Autonomy, rigor, responsiveness, and ability to manage production incidents.
• Good team spirit, clear communication, and ability to alert and escalate effectively.
• WSO2 API Manager: administration, configuration, operations, and troubleshooting.
• API Management: architecture, API management, and best practices.
• Experience in RUN and support of production platforms
