Consultant Operations and Traffic Planning Public Transport

Project overview

For our client, we are looking for an experienced consultant for traffic & operations planning.

Responsibilities

• Creation and optimization of timetables in public transport (ÖPNV)
• Creation and optimization of duty rosters for driving personnel
• Execution of vehicle scheduling
• Analysis of existing planning processes and identification of optimization potentials
• Development of efficient and economical planning models
• Support in the digitalization and standardization of planning processes
• Coordination with transport companies, operations managers, and relevant specialist departments

Requirements

• Several years of experience in timetable planning, duty roster planning, and/or vehicle scheduling in public transport (ÖPNV)
• Practical experience with transport companies, transport authorities, or public transport service providers
• Very good knowledge of operational processes in public transport
• Experience with IVU.plan or the IVU.suite desirable, ideally with in-depth user or key-user experience
• Experience in the analysis and optimization of planning processes
• Strong analytical thinking skills and high process affinity
• Ability to translate technical requirements into efficient planning solutions
