For our client, we are looking for an experienced consultant for traffic & operations planning.
Responsibilities
- Creation and optimization of timetables in public transport (ÖPNV)
- Creation and optimization of duty rosters for driving personnel
- Execution of vehicle scheduling
- Analysis of existing planning processes and identification of optimization potentials
- Development of efficient and economical planning models
- Support in the digitalization and standardization of planning processes
- Coordination with transport companies, operations managers, and relevant specialist departments
Requirements
- Several years of experience in timetable planning, duty roster planning, and/or vehicle scheduling in public transport (ÖPNV)
- Practical experience with transport companies, public transport operators, or public transport service providers
- Very good knowledge of operational processes in public transport
- Experience with IVU.plan or the IVU.suite desirable, ideally with in-depth user or key-user experience
- Experience in the analysis and optimization of planning processes
- Strong analytical thinking skills and high process affinity
- Ability to translate functional requirements into efficient planning solutions
