Consultant Finance & Controlling (Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central)

Project overview

For a customer project, we are looking for an experienced consultant in the field of Finance & Controlling with a focus on Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central (formerly Navision).

We are explicitly looking for technically strong consultants and not pure developers. The focus is on the analysis, optimization, and implementation of finance and controlling processes, as well as holistic customer consulting from process recording to go-live.

Responsibilities

• Consulting and implementation of Finance and Controlling processes based on Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central
• Analysis, structuring, and optimization of business processes in accounting and controlling
• Conducting process analyses and FIT/GAP analyses
• Recording and implementing functional requirements in Business Central
• Consulting on cost accounting, process costing, cost centers and cost objects, profit and loss accounting, calculation, budgeting, planning, and management reporting
• Creation of functional concepts and specifications for developers
• Conducting workshops, tests, acceptances, and training sessions
• Creation of documentation and process descriptions
• Taking on partial project responsibility and supporting customers until go-live

Requirements

Consultants who

are particularly interesting.

• Several years of experience in accounting, controlling, or ERP consulting
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central or Navision
• Sound knowledge in several areas such as financial accounting, cost accounting, process costing, profit and loss accounting, calculation, budgeting, planning, and management reporting
• Experience in the analysis and optimization of business processes
• Ability to translate functional requirements between business departments and development
• Very good German language skills
• Understand FI/CO functionally and do not just master the technical side of Business Central
• Have experience with demanding controlling processes and process costing
• Can analyze customer processes and identify potential for improvement
• Can moderate workshops and independently guide customers through conception, implementation, and go-live
• Can act as a sparring partner for business departments and project managers
