Project overview

For a client in Bonn, we are currently looking for a

Consultant

Area of Responsibility

• Strategic and operational project management as well as PMO steering
• Steering of complex IT projects and coordinated multi-project structures
• Planning and monitoring of project budgets, resources, deadlines, and milestones
• Identification, evaluation, and management of project risks as well as derivation of suitable countermeasures
• Stakeholder management including coordination with departments, project leads, and decision-making bodies
• Creation and preparation of management reports, status reports, and decision-making bases
• Ensuring governance, quality, and compliance requirements
• Steering of change management processes and support of change initiatives
• Conception, moderation, and follow-up of workshops, project meetings, and committee meetings
• Use of common project management and collaboration tools, especially Jira, Confluence, and MS Project
• Experience in large IT projects (>10 people, at least 1 with >30 people)
• Experience with collaboration solutions such as SharePoint and Exchange is an advantage

Requirements

Project Reference (mandatory part of the application)

To prove your experience, we need at least one project reference in German with: Industry, Project Title, Brief Description, Duration of Engagement with specific timeframe, and detailed description of your own tasks. References from the military IT environment are particularly sought after, as are projects in other highly regulated environments, such as public authorities or corporate IT.

• Experience in projects in the defense, armament, or military sector in the last 2 years
• At least 5 years of project management experience in a leading or coordinating role in software projects (project volume at least 500 PT and at least 10 project employees)
• At least 3 years of experience in independent planning and steering of the development of collaboration applications and platforms within the last 5 years
• Practical experience in using MS Office and at least 2 years within the last 4 years of experience with MS Project, JIRA, and Confluence
• Project management certification IPMA Certificate Level D or equivalent e.g. PMBOK (PMI) CAPM, PRINCE2 Practitioner
• ITIL Foundation v.4 or ITIL Foundation v.5 certification (not older than 5 years)
• Willingness for SÜ2 (Security clearance level 2)
• German C1 and English B1
