Consultant Microsoft 365 / Entra ID – IAM, CMDB & Digital Workplace

Project overview

Our client is a medium-sized private company specializing in passenger transport. Founded a few years ago, it is currently experiencing development momentum and wishes to strengthen the structure and reliability of its information system.

In an environment primarily based on Microsoft 365 and SAP, our client is looking for an experienced Microsoft 365 Consultant, with particular expertise in Microsoft Entra ID, to audit existing systems, identify areas for improvement, and support their implementation.

The objective of this mission is to contribute to the security, optimization, and reliability of the information system, in view of a new growth phase for the company.

Reporting directly to the CIO, the consultant will work on three main areas.

Beyond these three areas, the consultant must be able to structure and plan their work independently, coordinate necessary actions with various stakeholders, and provide regular reporting to the CIO.

Profile Sought

We are primarily looking for a versatile and experienced Microsoft 365 Consultant, capable of combining solid technical expertise with a methodical and operational approach.

The profile should notably have:

Beyond technical skills, our client seeks an autonomous, rigorous, organized, and methodical person, capable of structuring their interventions, prioritizing tasks, and meeting commitments.

The role involves regular communication with the CIO, IT teams, employees, and various business stakeholders. Good interpersonal skills, the ability to facilitate workshops, and an analytical mindset focused on finding concrete solutions will therefore be essential.

Particular attention will be paid to the consultant's ability to produce pragmatic recommendations and support their operational implementation.

Work Environment

• Identity and Access Governance – Microsoft Entra ID (priority area)
• Audit user accounts, technical accounts, and Microsoft Entra ID groups.
• Verify the consistency of account-associated information (service, function, line manager, location, etc.).
• Identify obsolete accounts, authorization anomalies, and inconsistencies in access management.
• Define and manage a remediation plan to ensure data reliability and strengthen access security.
• Analyze and improve Onboarding, Offboarding, and internal mobility processes.
• Formalize identity management rules and clarify responsibilities between HR teams, managers, the IT department, and IT support.
• IT Asset Management – ITAM / CMDB
• Audit the quality, consistency, and completeness of CMDB data.
• Organize and manage an inventory of equipment and software in coordination with support teams and the IT service provider.
• Identify discrepancies between available data and the reality of the IT infrastructure.
• Coordinate actions to update and ensure the reliability of information.
• Define simple and sustainable processes for keeping the CMDB up-to-date, particularly during new hires, departures, and hardware changes.
• Evaluate the relevance of existing ITSM / CMDB tools, particularly Microsoft Intune, and propose rationalization strategies.
• User Experience – Digital Workplace
• Design and conduct a satisfaction survey among approximately 150 employees.
• Assess user perception of their IT equipment, collaborative tools, and support services.
• Identify the main difficulties encountered and gather employee expectations.
• Analyze the results and propose a concrete, pragmatic, and prioritized improvement plan.
• Microsoft 365 / Entra ID: identity administration, account management, groups, authorizations, and access.
• IAM: identity governance, user lifecycle, Onboarding / Offboarding processes, and access security.
• ITSM / ITAM / CMDB: IT service management, asset inventory, data reliability, and process optimization.
• Microsoft Intune: knowledge of the tool and its use in IT asset management.
• Digital Workplace: user experience assessment, needs analysis, and digital service improvement.
• Confirmed experience of at least 3 to 5 years in Microsoft 365 and Entra ID environments.
• Good command of identity and access governance issues (IAM).
• Solid knowledge in IT service and asset management (ITSM, ITAM, CMDB).
• Ability to conduct audits, identify anomalies, and propose adapted improvement plans.
• Good understanding of data quality and reliability challenges.
• Ability to concretely manage remediation actions in collaboration with internal teams and service providers.
• Technical-functional versatility allowing intervention on various subjects.
• Location: Fontenay-aux-Roses (92).
• Start Date: mid-November 2026.
• Initial Duration: 2 months, with possibility of extension depending on needs and business evolution.
• Schedule: full-time.
• Remote Work: 1 to 2 days maximum per week.
• Reporting: directly to the CIO.
