Consultant Task | Data & Analytics Consultant, Oslo

Project overview

On behalf of a private sector client, we are looking for an experienced Data & Analytics Consultant to add hands-on capacity to the internal data team. The client's data platform runs on Google Cloud, with BigQuery at its centre.

The consultant will work across the whole data flow. That means building and maintaining pipelines in Python and SQL, running orchestration in Apache Airflow with third-party API integrations, and deploying and troubleshooting containerised workloads on Cloud Run. The role also covers curated data models and semantic layers in BigQuery, plus Power BI models and reports that feed into the wider BI roadmap.

The client wants a data or analytics engineer who can work independently, writes maintainable code and takes version control, code reviews and documentation seriously.

• Proven experience as a Data Engineer, Analytics Engineer or similar on cloud-based data platforms
• Strong hands-on experience with GCP and BigQuery, building production pipelines in Python and SQL
• Experience with Apache Airflow and external API integrations, ideally with Docker
• Solid understanding of data warehousing, ELT/ETL, dimensional modelling and Power BI semantic models
• Experience with Git-based workflows and CI/CD
• Structured and self-driven, with a strong focus on documentation and knowledge sharing
