Project overview

For a public client, we are looking for an experienced service designer to help build a new product for coordinated agreements in the grid industry. The goal is better structure and collaboration around agreements between actors at different grid levels. A multidisciplinary team has already laid the business concept and an initial functional sketch, and now the product is to be taken from idea to finished solution.

The consultant will be a permanent part of the team and will be responsible for the insight work towards grid companies and providers. They will map the user journeys as they are today, find out where the pain points are for the different user groups, and challenge assumptions along the way. The insight will provide the team with a good basis for choosing the solution and direction, and the consultant will test ideas with sketches and prototypes before the solutions are designed.

The work is mainly service design, with a smaller element of UX, and the consultant also participates in planning and prioritizing the team's work.

The team works in short iterations and delivers in small steps. We are looking for a service designer who takes initiative, works independently, and shares learning with the team and the industry along the way.

Your qualifications

We are looking for a consultant with the following qualifications and characteristics:

• At least five years of experience as a service designer, preferably from complex product environments
• Experience in leading innovation processes and with methods to reduce risk in them
• Experience with contract administration systems (CAS) and knowledge of how agreement frameworks govern collaboration between actors
• Knowledge of the grid industry, the energy sector, or other regulated infrastructure, including regulations and processes with multiple actors
• Experience from multidisciplinary product teams, preferably in the early phase, and the ability to quickly familiarize oneself with new technical fields
• Independent and good at communicating insights to both technical and non-technical audiences
