Assignment description

Department information

A team of about 20 driven control experts for electricity and gas. From Zwolle and Weert, you will jointly keep the energy grid safe and reliable. You will coordinate work, monitor the grid situation, and ensure that field colleagues can do their work safely.

No day is the same. The energy transition brings new challenges and sometimes complex situations. It is precisely then that you keep a cool head, look for solutions together, and learn from each other. This way, you make a difference today and help build the energy grid of tomorrow.?

Colleague's words:

"Contribute to the energy transition and the safety of people who switch in the field? Then this is your place"? ~ Jeroen van der Moolen, control expert electricity and gas.

Job description

You are the link between operational teams and involved parties. With your overview and communication, you ensure that everyone knows what is happening and that work can proceed safely.

You prevent problems before they arise. By informing operational staff about work and disruptions in a timely manner, you prevent switching conflicts and help colleagues work safely on the energy grid.

As a control expert for electricity and gas, you are the linchpin behind safe work on the energy grid. You read diagrams, maintain an overview, and ensure that field colleagues know exactly what to do. This way, you prevent problems and make an impact every day.

As a control expert for electricity and gas, you are the central point of contact for work on our gas and low-voltage grids. You ensure that work can start safely, monitor the current grid situation, and prevent work from interfering with each other.

Your work directly impacts the safety of colleagues and the continuity of the energy supply. Therefore, you carefully check whether work can be performed safely and ensure correct registration of all notifications and changes.

You read technical diagrams and translate them into clear information for the colleagues who perform the switching operations. You always take the current situation on the energy grid into account.

You check whether the planned switching operations are compatible with the current grid situation. This prevents technical conflicts and ensures that work can proceed safely and without unnecessary disruption.

You quickly notice when data is incorrect or missing. You coordinate the necessary adjustments with the various Enexis locations, so everyone works with the correct information.

You independently assess control plans and ensure that operational teams can start their work well-prepared. You also give clear control instructions to the colleagues who carry out the work.

You carefully register all notifications and de-notifications of work in the reporting point system. You also keep a close eye on temporary changes in the energy grid and inform the colleagues at the central incident control room about important work. This way, you maintain an overview and help colleagues work safely.

Requirements and wishes

You don't have to be able to do everything yet. With a technical background and some experience, you can grow with us. We will train you step by step to become an independent control expert. You are curious, eager to learn, and will be given ample opportunity to develop yourself in this role.

Furthermore, you have:

A completed MBO 3 (vocational) education in technology, preferably in electrical engineering and/or Medium Gas Technology. An MBO 4 education is a plus. While working, you will also follow the necessary training (instructions) BD-LS of the BEI and BD-Gas of the VIAG. You will also follow a two-day KIWA course. This way, you will learn step by step what you need to do your job well and safely.

Knowledge of gas and electricity grids is a plus. You have technical insight, can read technical diagrams, and understand how parts of the energy grid are interconnected. If you don't have all the knowledge yet? We will help you develop it further in practice.

Competencies

You are customer-oriented, curious, and good at finding solutions. You work accurately and actively think along when a situation deviates from expectations. This way, you and your colleagues arrive at safe and practical solutions.
