Copilot Consultant

Project overview

We are looking for a Copilot Consultant for one of our clients in the industrial and international sector.

Mission Context:

As part of its digital transformation and the optimization of its software development practices, our client wishes to accelerate the adoption of generative AI within its technical teams.

The objective is to support the integration of GitHub Copilot through an immersive "On-Code Copilot" approach.

Mission Objectives:

Profile Sought:

• Field Support ("On-code Copilot"): Work directly (pair programming) with developers on real use cases to teach them how to guide and get the most out of Copilot (prompt engineering applied to code, refactoring, test generation, documentation).
• Creation of Standards & Best Practices: Define configuration guides, context rules (context boundary, .copilotignore, system instructions), and prompt patterns adapted to Nexans' stack.
• Measure and Accelerate Adoption: Identify barriers to use, measure the tool's impact, and disseminate the culture of AI-augmented development within the teams.
• Pair Programming & Coaching Sessions ("On-code Copilot"):
• Lead individual or small group sessions of guided coding with Copilot on Nexans production projects.
• Transmit reflexes and methods for interacting with AI (Copilot Chat, Copilot Edits, inline completions).
• Copilot / Generative AI Expertise: Advanced mastery of the GitHub Copilot ecosystem (Copilot Enterprise/Business) and prompt engineering applied to code.
• Teaching Skills: Proven experience in pair programming, developer coaching, or leading technical workshops.
• Soft Skills: Listening, pragmatism, pedagogical skills, ability to simplify and convince profiles sometimes resistant to change.
